After named as a suspect in the corruption case of construction project of Ujung Genteng City Forest, Cakung, East Jakarta, Bunanta Indotama President Director, GJ (50), on Monday (6/10) was sent to Cipinang Prison. Head of Special Crime Section for East Jakarta State Attorney Office, Sylvia Desti Rosalyna, said GJ was already named as suspect but has not been arrested because the investigation process was still running. He is now sent to Cipinang Prison because the evidences are strong enough to arrest him.
“The suspect is involved in the corruption case of Ujung Menteng City Forest construction project worth about Rp 10.900 billion. Due to the evidences are strong enough, we arrest the suspect,” she stated, Monday (10/6).

From the existing evidences, the suspect is strongly alleged carried out the project not in accordance with the job specifications, like in paving blocks installation and concrete making.
Although current financial loss of the state because of this case is around Rp 1 billion, Rosalina continued, the amount could increase. At this time, the exact amount of loss is still being calculated by the state auditor and construction experts from Semarang Polytechnic. Later, the final results of the examination will be submitted to Finance and Development Comptroller (BPKP).
For his action, GJ is charged under Article 2 paragraph 1 and Article 3 of Law No. 31/1999 on corruption act with maximum sanction 20 years in prison.
“It’s not fair. I didn’t do wrong, why am I being arrested? It’s not fair,” expressed GJ as he walked down to the prisoner car.
